GdT just got “Terrified”
Fox Searchlight has set Sacha Gervasi to write Terrified, a remake of the 2017 Argentinian genre film Aterrados. Demián Rugna, who wrote and directed the original, will helm the English-language remake. The film will be produced by Guillermo del Toro, extending his relationship with Searchlight that was capped last year by Best Picture Oscar winner The Shape of Water. Del Toro followed by making an overall Searchlight deal last April.
“Terrified” ‘s synopsis:
When strange events occur in a neighborhood in Buenos Aires, a doctor specializing in the paranormal, her colleague, and an ex police officer investigate further. The results are horrifying and the evil must be stopped before it spreads.
